![]() Vengeance with seethe up will allow you enough hatred to never stop strafing. While Smoke Screen and other defensive skills are helpful ( Caltrops w/ Torturous Ground is one of the better skills to hot-swap as needed), it's a far better idea to proceed towards enemies until they are just on the screen, then set up a position and fire away with Rapid Fire.Reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2). It's interesting to note that some players ignore the potential of Preparation w/ Punishment. To put it bluntly, you economize resources for continual skill attacks by using slower weapons. This way, the skill's continual presence will do damage, but since the attack remains on screen, it is still active. ![]() To fuel Rapid Fire (or skills that are "continual", like Disintegrate), it's best to use a slow weapon, like that of a heavy crossbow or traditional longbow, instead of the fast-firing hand crossbows. Unlike the wizard, who can use Diamond Skin to improve his defence, the Demon Hunter needs to rely on repositioning himself away from the engagement or he will surely be mobbed and killed (hence the use of Vault). The primary skill is eschewed as a defensive attack (or something that generates Hatred). This build predominantly uses Rapid Fire as the first (if not only) attack. This build is similar to the "Gundam METEOR" wizard build where your hero serves as a base of fire on enemies from long range (like those at the edge of the screen).
